Thank you for visiting my website. I'd like to tell you about Warming the Hearts. You never know when or where inspiration might come. At 5 years old I was very sick and spent some time at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. While I was there, a young cancer survivor offered me a bear to comfort me through my difficult time. This inspired me, and in 2006 I started Warming the Hearts as a way for individuals to come together, make blankets, and support those who need a little extra comfort, warmth and a smile during a difficult time in their life. Thanks to the help of thousands of volunteers and businesses that have rallied to my cause over the years as well as the media for helping me to share my message. We have been able to make over 7,000 handmade blankets to those in need and put smiles on their faces as well as all those around them. That's really what my organization is all about. It's our greatest reward!
Hospitals, nursing homes and senior centers can be cold and lonely places when you don't have a loved one there to wrap their arms around you, comfort you and make you feel safe. Warming the Hearts allows us to provide fleece tie blankets to some of the youngest and oldest hearts during a time when it's needed most. We need your help to keep warming hearts and bringing smiles to families and their loved ones in need. If you can donate or help out, please do so by clicking the links. All donations are used to buy material and supplies to make the blankets. It only takes a little to show how much you care.
